Book News: New Re-Release, Wide Release, and a Sale!

Several things going on at once around here! First, I’ve republished my very first novella, Model Student, on Kindle and in Kindle Unlimited, with new cover art by TL Bland:

ModelStudent-300px

Making his living as a model allows Aaron Stevens to pay his way through film school at NYU. While on a photo shoot, he meets Matt Carson, a journalism student who wants to interview Aaron for his senior project, and they feel an instant connection that catches them both off guard. As their relationship develops over the next week, they open up to each other about their pasts, but attraction won’t be enough to keep them together unless they can share their secrets too.

Next up: my winter holiday collection, Dreams of Winter Past, is out of KU and available at other distributors:

Dreams of Winters Past cover

A collection of four holiday stories to warm a winter night.

The Half-Life of Pumpkin Pie
Wil Johnson’s holiday season is off to a crappy start: the pie he takes to Thanksgiving dinner bombs, and then he gets word his payment at the bakery didn’t go through. When he goes to the shop to pay up, though, he meets Vin Hammel, who invites Wil to a toy-themed holiday party. But when the pair arrive, they find the toys aren’t exactly what they expected.

Sharing Christmas
Christmas looks to be a bust for Rick, who’s stuck covering the office over the holiday. But when his neighbor, Steven, invites him to join some residents in their apartment complex who put together gift bags to distribute at a homeless shelter for the holiday, Rick decides to join them and gets an unexpected holiday gift: Steven.

Of Holiday Spirits, Wake-Up Calls, and Happily Ever Afters
After Guy staggers home after a raucous Christmas Eve with his closest friends, he’s visited by a spirit who looks suspiciously like Teddy, the friend Guy’s secretly crushing on. Guy needs to learn the lessons of the past—and make the right choices in the present—so his future will be less about one night and more about forever.

In From the Cold
When Jeff Young walks into the rural Georgia lodge Neal Owens, he’s just looking for a room to escape a few frigid late December nights. What he ends up finding is a new friend, a lover, and maybe more, all wrapped up in one hot package.

All stories have been previously published.

Seven tales of romance, hope, and passion. Even after the roughest night, dawn promises new beginnings.

The Coffee Shop Around the Corner

Political discourse is Madeline Maloney’s jam. Social media manager for a progressive mayoral candidate, she finds her interest piqued by an email exchange with a local businessman—but also by the cute guy at the coffee shop where she buys her morning cup. Palmer Harrison spends his mornings smiling at the beautiful woman who orders a caramel latte every day and his off hours emailing with a mystery woman who works for a mayoral campaign. Their parallel relationships intersect on Election Day…

But be sure to pick up the entire set if you can! Ainsley Booth has helpfully put together a page with all the links you need right here.

Looking for Holiday Romance? I’ve Got You Covered!

‘Tis the season for happy endings! Here’s a list of all of my holiday-season stories for your reading pleasure. 🙂

FallingTogether_400pxFalling Together
Novella, self-published
Mitch Jackson took a temporary job wrapping gifts at a Manhattan department store so he’d have some extra cash during the holiday season. He didn’t expect to get a bonus in the form of Austin Payne. Austin starts out as just another customer, though a particularly good-looking one, until he asks Mitch to dinner. Their whirlwind romance, touched by the magic of New York in December, soon grows from what could have been only a fling into something more—something like falling in love.

Random Friday Updates

First, a clarification, because this is important. I saw a comment about this, so I wanted to clarify that the US flag in the cover image for Unfortunate Son is not touching the floor. Travis was standing on a paper background drape for the shoot, and while the flag did touch the paper a few times, it was never on the floor. Travis is a military veteran and I’m the daughter and granddaughter of one, so that’s definitely something we paid attention to.

Moving on… more Unfortunate Son blog tour stops! I’ve been to Andrew Q. Gordon’s with a post on writing to a deadline, The Kimi-chan Experience talking about Atlanta as setting, Grace R. Duncan’s to discuss how “The Hero’s Journey” helped me write Unfortunate Son, and The Blogger Girls to talk about how the progression of same-sex marriage legalization could affect gay romance fiction. (The last post went up early, but better early than never!)

And in other news, I’ve completed the first round of edits on Sons book 2, Wayward Son, and I’m deep into work on book 3, Nobody’s Son. Also, the print version of Butt Babes in Boyland is being finalized, and Butt Riders on the Range (with my story “Faux Cowboy”) is in production with the publisher. Release dates to follow as soon as I have them! 🙂

It’s a Random Updates Kind of Day

My 12 Days of Charity list is complete. If you need last-minute donation ideas, this would be a great place to start!

Amazon and AllRomance buy links are now active for Butt Babes in Boyland (in addition to the direct Wilde City link). So now you can pick up the book with a free ARe code, LOL. (For those wondering, the book will be available in print too, but I don’t know that publication date yet.)

The next butt-thology, Butt Riders on the Range, is in production and will be out in the spring. My story is “Faux Cowboy.”

Did you see the gorgeous cover for my January 12 release, Unfortunate Son?? You can preorder a copy, too!

I’ve just submitted the final manuscript file and a cover art spec sheet for Wayward Son, so that process is moving along. May/June is the release date!

I’m mostly taking Christmas week off. I have one production request to take care of by the end of the weekend, but after that, I’m not worrying about anything writing-related for a week. And I’m teleworking for the day job on Monday and Tuesday, but then I’ll be off for the holiday. Looking forward to the break! 🙂

Butt Babes on Tour, a Review, and an Interview!

I’m guest blogging over at Prism Book Alliance today, talking about the craziness that is Butt Babes in Boyland and my love for holiday stories.

On Tuesday, fellow butt babe Kiernan Kelly guested at MM Good Book Reviews, who gave the anthology an awesome 4.5-star review. Yay! Thanks, Lisa!

Also, on Monday night, Wt Prater will be hosting most of the butts authors on Taste Test on WON Radio. Details and more guest appearances to come! 🙂

Release Day! Butt Babes in Boyland

ButtBabesInBoyland_coverIt’s here, it’s here! The butt boys are here!

It’s release day for the latest entry in our sort-of series, Butt Babes in Boyland, from Wilde City Press. Yay!!!

The blurb and the complete story list:

The holidays are a time for visiting with family and friends, and sharing tales of peace, childlike innocence, and good will towards all mankind. These are not those stories. Instead, sit back and allow yourself to be regaled with the colorful adventures of toy-themed parties with a twist, the future of Elf Enforcement, misfit sex toys at the North Pole, the mysterious Workshop 69, special delivery packages, and a serious case of potentially mistaken identity. This year, the Butt-thology authors cordially invite you to join them in creating a new tradition.

This holiday season, it’s not just turkeys getting stuffed!

Featuring…

“It’s A Wonderful Lube” by Kage Alan
“The Isle of Misfit Toys” by JP Barnaby
“For Fox Sake” by T.C. Blue
“The Half-Life of Pumpkin Pie” by Shae Connor
“Special Package” by Jevocas Green
“Elf Confidence” by Kiernan Kelly
