More Blog Tour & Reviews for Unfortunate Son

It’s been a busy release week, and it’s not over yet! 🙂

I visited Joyfully Jay on Wednesday with a post about the cover art for Unfortunate Son. Today, I’m at Love Bytes, with an interview of cover model Travis Irons.

I’ll keep updating my blog tour schedule post as new posts go up. Be sure to check them out, because there’s a Rafflecopter giveaway included!

Speaking of Love Bytes, their reviewer Cindy gave Unfortunate Son an awesome 5-star review. Thank you so much!

And, for anyone near Atlanta, tomorrow night I’ll be throwing a book release party and signing at Burkhart’s at Ansley Square. Cover model Travis Irons will be there, and we’ll both be available to sign books. Come on out and say hi!

Butt Babes on Tour, a Review, and an Interview!

I’m guest blogging over at Prism Book Alliance today, talking about the craziness that is Butt Babes in Boyland and my love for holiday stories.

On Tuesday, fellow butt babe Kiernan Kelly guested at MM Good Book Reviews, who gave the anthology an awesome 4.5-star review. Yay! Thanks, Lisa!

Also, on Monday night, Wt Prater will be hosting most of the butts authors on Taste Test on WON Radio. Details and more guest appearances to come! 🙂

Random Squeefulness

A few things that have made me happy the past few days…

On Friday, USA Today‘s Happy Ever After blog featured the Grand Adventures anthology and its authors.

Also on Friday, I finished the first rough draft of my novel Unfortunate Son. Hoping to have it in shape to submit in late May or early June.

I finally got to read Heidi Cullinan’s new release Tough Love, and it was worth every minute of the wait.

Only three more days until Butt Ninjas from Hell releases!

More Grand Adventures!

GrandAdventures_FBbanner_DSPA two-fer today! I’m over at Sid Love’s (along with Amy Lane and Madison Parker) to talk about our contributions to the Grand Adventures anthology. And Rainbow Book Reviews has posted a lovely group review of the anthology and the individual stories.

Thanks, all! 🙂

Five Hearts for Fringes; USA Today mentions Playing Ball

A couple of cool things to note today! MM Good Book Reviews has given my scifi erotica short “Fringes” an awesome “5 Hearts” review! A snippet:

Holy hell, this was such a fun read! Jace and Tal definitely love each other and they do not suffer from performance anxiety. I especially loved the nice little twist at the end. If you are in the mood for something quick and sexy, this is the book for you. Smokin’ Hot!

Thanks, Tams! [Buy “Fringes” here]

And a very cool mention. USA Today‘s Happily Ever After blog gave Playing Ball a mention in its list of new romance releases. I love that they cover LGBT romance right along with all other types of pairings, and I’m thrilled to see us turn up on their list! [Pre-order Playing Ball here]

Serena Yates at QMO Books Reviews Accidental Love

Another lovely review! Serena Yates is doing a great job with QMO Books, keeping the book review section of the former Queer Magazine Online going, and she had some very nice things to say about Accidental Love. A snippet:

Not all the issues get solved by the end of the story. There are some real issues remaining, mainly for Greg, who is scared of falling back into old habits. But I liked the way they decide to face whatever comes their way together–that’s the whole point about a working relationship.

Thanks, Serena!

Brief Encounters Reviews Accidental Love

Tam at Brief Encounters gave a lovely B review to my college-roommates novella Accidental Love. A snippet:

It’s not overly angsty, nor is it overly plot driven. It’s two guys, who despite sharing a small dorm room, finally take the time to get to know who the other is, and over a couple of weeks have to decide if they want to make some changes in their lives.

Thanks, Tam! 🙂

Happy Valentine’s Day!

sparkling rainbow heartI’m one of those eternally optimistic people who can’t bring myself to be cynical about Valentine’s Day. Never mind that I’ve been single for most of them. Yes, V-Day is way overcommercialized, like most holidays, but I find it difficult to look too harshly on a day whose basic purpose is to celebrate love. Romantic love isn’t even the tip of the iceberg of what’s out there. So no matter what your status—single, partnered, or “it’s complicated”—I hope you have a day filled with love. 🙂

To help you celebrate, here are a few discount offers to go toward restocking your selection of romance reading!

  • Dreamspinner Press is offering 20% off everything today (through midnight Eastern time), and for the rest of the month, they’re running a Hearts and Flowers scavenger hunt, with a heart graphic hidden in various places around the web site. Find and click on the graphic, and you’ll get a code for 20% off all the publications by the author whose page the graphic is hidden on.
  • Rainbow eBooks is offering 30% off all new releases today (double the usual Totally Tuesday discount). Also, several standalone items are 50% off, and all Untreed Reads titles are 30% off all month.
  • Samhain Publishing is offering 30% off your entire order all day today. Just use coupon code LOVE12.

I’ll be tweeting/retweeting any other offers I see turn up during the day, so check @shaeconnor or the Twitter feed at the right side of this page for more. 🙂

(Oh, and while you’re shopping, don’t forget you can still get the Never Say Never Valentine’s Day anthology, which includes my short story “Stripped”!)
