Release Day! En Fuego

Today, after MUCH too long a break between releases, is the day we welcome En Fuego into the world! *throws confetti*

Before anything else, as I am scatterbrained and totally neglected to include this in the story file, I need to send out great big HUGE thanks to my beta readers, D.M. and Kat. In particular, thanks to Kat for sharing parts of her Puerto Rican heritage to help make Marsh’s real. Love you both to bits. ❤

EnFuegoCover200pxFrom Dreamspinner Press, En Fuego is a novella about a firefighter, a veterinarian, and the cat who brings them together. Here’s the story blurb:

Marshall Ramirez isn’t looking to fall in love, but from the moment firefighter Brad Flannery walks through the doors of Marsh’s veterinary clinic, he’s smitten. Marsh treats Fuego, the cat Brad rescued from a house fire, and convinces Brad to take her on as a foster—along with the three kittens Marsh helps her deliver. What Marsh really wants, though, is for Brad to keep him too.

An excerpt is at the bottom of this post (behind the cut), and I’ll be doing a small blog tour for the new release, so look for me the next few days…

  • Thursday, December 13: Where the Story Came From—Eden Winters
  • Friday, December 14: Hot Firefighters and the Animals Who Love Them—Kerry Freeman
  • Saturday, December 15: Interview with Shae Connor—K-Lee Klein
  • Sunday, December 16: Interview with Marsh and Brad—J.P. Barnaby

And, of course, I’m giving away a copy of En Fuego! Just comment on this post, and I’ll pick a winner to receive an ebook (via the Dreamspinner Press website), as well as some story-related swag by mail. Be sure your email is included so I can contact you if you win!

Happy reading! 🙂

En Fuego is Coming Soon!

My next novella, En Fuego, which releases on December 12, is now coming soon and up for preorder at the Dreamspinner Press website. Preorder is a new feature for DSP, so this is the first time one of my stories has been available. Exciting! 🙂

The blurb:

Marshall Ramirez isn’t looking to fall in love, but from the moment firefighter Brad Flannery walks through the doors of Marsh’s veterinary clinic, he’s smitten. Marsh treats Fuego, the cat Brad rescued from a house fire, and convinces Brad to take her on as a foster—along with the three kittens Marsh helps her deliver. What Marsh really wants, though, is for Brad to keep him too.

Release Day! Accidental Love from Amber Allure

My new novella Accidental Love is now available from Amber Allure. The special new release price is just $3.25, so grab it fast! 🙂

Blurb:

College roommates Greg and Keith are polar opposites when it comes to relationships. Greg equates sex with the alcohol and drugs he gave up, while Keith protects his heart by keeping sex strictly casual. At first, neither Greg nor Keith realizes the other is gay, but once they get to know each other better, they feel drawn together, and their developing attraction makes each of them reevaluate his stance on relationships.

Keith starts out thinking he only wants a roommates-with-benefits arrangement, something more than his usual weekend flings but still casual, yet soon he begins to feel more for Greg. Greg’s afraid of what he’s feeling because he has trouble mentally separating sex from the other bad habits that had nearly ruined his life.

Greg’s fears leave him spooked by an impromptu kiss following a game of one-on-one basketball, but that’s nothing compared with how he feels after a dinner date ends with the two men having sex. To help bring Greg back from the edge, Keith opens up his heart, but will it be enough to allow them to move forward together?

A brief excerpt is also available on the sales page. Enjoy! 🙂

Now Available: Sand & Water

Pretty soon I’ll shut up about this! 😉

I am thrilled to announce that my first novel, Sand & Water, is now available for purchase from Dreamspinner Press in ebook and paperback formats. It will also be available for Kindle soon, and I’ll let you all know when that happens!

I’ll be celebrating over at the Dreamspinner Press blog starting at 9AM (Eastern time), and I’ll have some giveaways to share, so come on over and visit!

Cover Art and Coming Soon!

My first novel, Sand & Water, is now coming soon at Dreamspinner Press! Release date is August 15. It’ll be available in both ebook and print.

The blurb:

Widower John McConnell gets along fine raising his daughter on Georgia’s Tybee Island, though he wouldn’t exactly say he’s happy. Haunted by the memory of his dead wife, John hasn’t considered dating again until he meets Bryan Simmons in the park. It isn’t long before John realizes that what he feels for Bryan could be something real, but how will he know he’s ready to move on?

As John soon discovers, Bryan carries some heavy emotional baggage of his own. With John’s help, Bryan starts to put his demons to rest, and together they lay the foundation for a relationship. It looks like they might finally leave their tragedies behind them—until John takes a misstep that could turn a magical night together into their last.

Reese Dante has done an absolutely gorgeous job on my cover art. Check it out:

That’s Bryan on the left and John on the right, just for the record. 🙂

I’m just a wee bit excited!!

Release Day for “Chicago”!

It’s another release day! Dreamspinner’s 2011 Daily Dose set, First Time for Everything, is out today. Those who bought the set in advance will get a story a day all month long, or you can buy any of the individual stories starting today. You can also still purchase the full set, at a 32% discount off the individual sale prices.

My contribution to the set is the short story “Chicago.” The blurb:

Darren Lowell and Nathan Thomas are at loose ends in the Windy City. Darren came to visit his boyfriend, but after one too many insults, he dumped the conceited jerk and is taking some time to clear his head. Nathan just left the military and has a few days free before settling down into civilian life and beginning the job-search grind. A chance meeting in a hotel lobby that progresses into a spectacular night will make Chicago a whole lot more interesting for them both. Chicago may not just be a brief stop on their journeys—it could be the starting point for a passionate new future.

Enjoy! 🙂

Updates, get yer updates!

First up, Dreamspinner is now taking pre-orders for the First Time for Everything Daily Dose set, which will give you a story a day for the month of June. Right now, you can get the whole set for just $39.99! Prices go up as the release date approaches, so order early. Individual stories, including my story “Chicago,” will go on sale in June.

And my other bit of news: I have a contract on my novel! Sand and Water is tentatively set for a late summer release (also with Dreamspinner). More details as I have them!
