I am not a fan of fudge. I know, I know; as a BIG fan of chocolate, I should be all about the fudgey goodness. But there’s something about the texture I just don’t like. So, I found a substitute. I can’t begin to tell you where I found this recipe, but I’ve had it in my files for a decade or more, and I make it every year. I mix it up with different add-ins (like mini marshmallows and peanuts for rocky road fudge), and I usually use walnuts, because they’re my favorites. Give it a try! š
Extra Easy Fudge
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
2 cans prepared milk chocolate frosting
1 cup chopped nuts
Line one 8 by 8 inch square pan with foil. Lightly grease the foil.
In a small saucepan, melt the chocolate chips over low heat, stirring occasionally. Remove the melted chocolate from the heat and stir in the frosting and the nuts until the chocolate is smooth. Spread into prepared pan and refrigerate until firm. Cut into small squares.
